Alltyferin - Pontargothi, Nantgaredig, Carmarthenshire - 8
miles east of Carmarthen.
This Georgian (c 1780) Country House is set in its own 260 acre
farm and woodland with sweeping views across its own historic
motte and bailey castle to unspoilt countryside and the Towy Valley
beyond. At Alltyferin itself there are lovely walks around the
estate, either up to our trig point or along the River Cothi which
runs through the property, or in the woodlands. This property
offers two twin bedded guest rooms facing the view, one with shower
and en-suite facilities, the other with private bathroom right
next door. There is a downstairs sitting room where guests may
watch tv and read, and a panelled dining room where a full cooked
breakfast is served. We don't provide evening meals, but there
is a choice of five excellent pubs and a restaurant within a couple
of miles.
