Glenmorangie
House - Cardboll
It is hard to put into words just what is so magical about Glenmorangie
House at Cadboll. Drive up to it from the easily missed turning
off the main road and, at first sight, it appears to be an austere,
traditional Highland mansion. But step over the threshold and
the atmosphere immediately changes. It's as if you've entered
someone's home, which is precisely the feeling that the staff
work so hard to create. There's no reception to check-in. There's
no key to your room. There are no televisions to break the spell
of calm that soon envelops you. The truth is that GGlenmorangie's
Highland Home is an embodiment of all that is wonderful about
the whisky. The mood is welcoming, the quality is superb and,
as you watch the log fire crackle in the grate, it is nigh on
impossible not to put your feet up and relax.
