Skaftafell is situated by Route 1, only 4 km east of the national
park in Skaftafell and 45 km west of the glacier lagoon Jökulsárlón
in Breiðamerkursandur. The glacier Svínafellsjökull
is only 800 meters away from the hotel. In Svínafell (1
km) there is a swimming pool and a horse rental, and the Skaftafell
airfield is 2 km away. Guided tours to Cape Ingólfshöfði
and Öræfajökull are available nearby.
