You'll find peace and serenity when visiting Lake Myvatn.

Highland Special
8 days - only valid in July & August - only on 4 wheel drive vehicle

Day 1 - Arrival in Iceland - If time allows visit the Blue Lagoon and explore the Reykjanes Peninsula.
Overnight in one of our Fosshotels in Reykjavik or similar.

Day 2 - Visit Thingvellir National Park before driving Kaldidalur highland road into Reykholts Valley where you can see waterfalls and hot springs.
Overnight at Fosshotel Bifröst (or similar).

Day 3 - Go North - Drive north to Skagafjörður, the valley of the horses. En route we recommend river rafting, horseback riding or driving around Vatnsnes Peninsula, and a walk to the seal colony at Hindisvik.
Stay 2 nights at Fosshotel Áning (or similar).

Day 4 - Drive the Kjölur Highland road to Hveravellir and enjoy Iceland's finest natural "Hot Pot" surrounded by hot springs. Or you could explore Skagafjörður Valley with Glaumbær Turf houses, horseback riding, Hofsos and Siglufjörður museums or a visit to the island of Drangey.

Day 5 - Visit Akureyri, the capital of North Iceland,Goðafoss - the waterfall of the Gods, and explore the natural wonders of Lake Myvatn such as the hot springs at Namaskard or the pseudo craters at Skutustaðir.
Overnight at Fosshotel Húsavík

Day 6 - Drive South via the famous Sprengisandur highland road.
Overnight at Fosshotel Nesbud or Hlid.

Day 7 - Visit Gullfoss Waterfall, Geysir Hot Springs and Thingvellir National Park. Overnight in one of our Fosshotels in Reykjavik or similar.

Day 8 - Depart for home.
